🌿 Advanced Damp Treatment & Plaster Restoration

Dry Walls.
Healthy Living Spaces.

We specialize in diagnosing and treating all forms of damp. Lets elliminate your damp problem, halt moisture rise and restore your brickwork.

Step 1: The Science of Damp

Diagnostic Expertise. No Guesswork.

We do not look at a water stain and start painting over it. We use structural science to identify the root cause before we ever touch a trowel.

Advanced Moisture Diagnostics

Visible damp is usually just the symptom. To find the source—whether it's a failed flashing hidden behind a gutter or a compromised Damp Proof Course—we utilize:

  • Thermal Imaging Cameras Detecting cold spots and trapped water inside concrete slabs and double-cavity walls without destructive breaking.
  • Deep-Penetration Moisture Meters Measuring precise subterranean saturation levels in brickwork to determine the exact chemical injection volume required.

Understanding Your Damp Problem

Rising Damp

Groundwater drawn upwards through the brickwork via capillary action, usually due to a failed or missing DPC. Causes bubbling plaster and salt crystallization at skirting board levels. Requires chemical injection barriers.

Penetrating Damp

Moisture traveling horizontally through walls due to driving rain hitting porous bricks, cracked plaster, or unsealed parapets. Requires severe weather coatings and crack cross-stitching.

Lateral Damp

Water ingress from soil resting against an exterior wall (e.g., built-in planters, retaining walls, or raised ground levels). Requires positive/negative side tanking membranes.

Engineered Systems

Built for Highveld Extremes

Johannesburg homes endure intense winter UV radiation followed by violent summer hail. Our systems are engineered to handle extreme thermal expansion.

Flat Concrete Slabs

Common in Fourways and modern estates. Acrylic paint with a membrane will fail here. We use heavy-duty, multi-layer torch-on bitumen (Derbigum style) or seamless polyurethane liquid plastics to handle standing water.

Rising Damp Injections

We do not just paint over it. We drill and inject chemical silane/siloxane damp-proofing cream to create a new DPC. We then hack off salt-contaminated plaster and re-plaster using specific salt-retardant additives.

Tiled Roofs & Parapets

Joburg's high winds tear off poorly applied membranes. We strip failing acrylics, reseal ridge caps with flexible polymer mortars, and heavily waterproof highly vulnerable parapet walls and box gutters.

Site Operations

The "Dust and Tar" Clean-Up Promise.

Damp-proofing involves chipping away old plaster, generating massive amounts of fine dust. Flat roofing involves sticky molten bitumen primers and open open gas flames. We respect your home.

  • We completely isolate indoor work areas and cover all furniture and flooring with heavy-duty drop sheets.
  • We do not leave rubble lying around; our teams clean the site and remove debris daily before they leave.
Proof of Work

Localized Proof of Permanence

We do not hide behind fresh paint. We show you the "naked" structural work that guarantees a permanent fix.

Rising Damp: The Real Process

Image:
Damaged bubbling plaster wall
Phase 1: Diagnosis

Moisture reading at 85%. Plaster clearly blown due to failed DPC.

Bare brick hacked away, injection holes drilled
Phase 2: The "Naked" Fix

Plaster stripped to raw brick. Chemical barrier injected directly into mortar line.

Phase 3: Guaranteed Finish

Replastered with salt-retardant cement. Primed, painted, and guaranteed for 10 years.

"We had three different 'contractors' try to fix the rising damp in our 1950s Parkview home. It peeled every year. Allwork actually brought moisture meters, drilled into the brick, and injected the chemical barrier. Two rainy seasons later, the walls are bone dry."

Sarah V. Parkview, Johannesburg

"Survived the worst December hail storms with absolutely zero leaks on our flat concrete roof in Bryanston. They stripped the old useless paint and torch-on'd a proper Derbigum layer. Absolute professionals, handled the messy tar work perfectly clean."

Mike & Lauren T. Bryanston, Sandton
